abolish advertising?
Go read this interesting article on advertising. I can't say that I think his conclusion of total public control of ad-free airwaves is the answer, but I would probably support trying it out. I mean, I have 100% stopped watching the current commercial TV that is offered to us.
The recent marketing seminar I attented talked a lot about the TV-industrial complex as a big force in the marketing world. While that means that it's powerful for marketers, it doesn't mean that it's good for citizens
