I'd say that Commercial Dr. Is probably the best place to live In the city. But I have a secret for you, There's an aread of hastings, just east Nanaimo St. That's not scuzzy, and it's still hell of cheap. You can like, rent a house and stuff. And it's got plenty of shops, and you can get to both the highway, and downtown in minutes. Don't ever settle for a basement.
