The joys of a windowed application
Lux has no background music. I have debated putting some in, but I don't really think a few minutes of looping audio would be that great. One Luxer (BarStar) runs an internet radio station, and tells people about it while hosting. I was playing on his server today and it was pretty cool with most players tuning in to the station. I thought it would be a cool idea to have a menu item in Lux to launch the station, providing some non-repeating music easily. So I played around and got together a little applescript that I could run from Lux using the osascript command to open iTunes and play the audio stream. Pretty cool.Then I thought, since I figured out how to launch this one station, why not have links to a couple of internet radio stations? I'm pretty happy with the result. Here's a screenshot showing the current beta state:
